Ah yes, more proof for the unconvinced! With an initial report on Sony releasing PSP FW 5.0 and a follow-up story on its new features (PSN access, screenshot functionality, new RSS feeder), PSP-Gen has revealed two videos of the new firmware in action.

The first vid is just a quickie - a teaser, if you will. It shows the installation of the PSP FW 5.0 eboot. Basically they get to “update” to the Testing Tool version (i.e. beta) of this new firmware.

The second video is the meatier one. It’s about five minutes long, and takes us for a tour around the XMB. Yeah the voice over is in French, but if you’ve read our previous coverage (which you should have already by this time, mind you!) then you’d know what’s going on.

PSP-Gen notes that these vids were taken prior to discovering what exactly were the new features in FW 5.0.
