Zelda Producer Plans Surprises for E3 2010
Still recovering from Shigeru Miyamoto’s announcement that he didn’t expect the next Legend of Zelda game to “be radically different”? Don’t lose hope just yet; producer Eiji Aonuma spoke with the Official Nintendo Magazine about the new Zelda that’s coming to Wii, and he thinks fans will be surprised by what’s in store for them.
“It is something we used to talk about with Mr. Miyamoto, and he and I agree that if we are following the same structure again and again, we might not be able to give long-time Zelda fans a fresh surprise,” the Twilight Princess producer told ONM, continuing, “So we have been trying something new in terms of the structure of the Wii version of the new Zelda game this time. I am really hopeful that people will be surprised with the changes we have implemented for this Wii version.”
It’s already been confirmed that the next Zelda for Wii will take advantage of the MotionPlus add-on for more realistic sword fights, but what else can we expect from Link’s upcoming adventure? According to Aonuma, we’ll have to wait until E3 2010 to find out. “I hope that we can show you something at the E3 show next year and it is something we are hopeful will be surprising,” he teased.
