Bricks-OS v0.0.3: cross platform homebrew
Here’s an interesting new homebrew app from developer Maximus32.
Contrary to the initial idea its name gives, Bricks-OS is an operating system for several platforms and allows them to share resources. Here are the release notes:
Hello Everyone,
I would like to announce the Bricks-OS project. Bricks-OS is an operating system for game consoles.
The list of currently supported game consoles:
- Nintendo DS
- GameCube
- Playstation2
- Playstation Portable
- Wii - i386 PC (not really a Game Console 
The list of current features include:
- Preemptive multitasking (even on the GBA and NDS)
- Message passing
- Hardware OpenGL implementation (on some consoles)
- Software OpenGL implementation (for all consoles not supporting hardware 3D)
It doesn’t do much right now, but the concept is interesting and it could go far. Hopefully we’ll see more of this in the future.

PSP Homebrew - Neutron v0.1
notboolean has released a new PSP homebrew game, Neutron v0.1. This brew is a TRON-style game, however what sets this apart is that the action goes on outside of the cube.
In this release, you can so far play only against the machine, which he describes as “unintelligent for now”. And as the game is repeated over and over again, it is also “repetitive.”

Characteristics of development
- Tested from 3.80 M33
- Note: This is the testing of the coder, in principle, should work at all, or most versions, until proven otherwise: P
- Platform for Programming: Linux (Xubuntu)
- Toolchain: PSPSDK (www.ps2dev.org) bookstores SDL OpenGL
Controls
- Digital Pad Left: Go rotate to the left with reference to the head of the ship.
- Digital Pad Right: Go rotating to the right with reference to the head of the ship.

And there we have it: the PlayStation Network update for US. This Thursday kicks off the “Call of Duty 4 PS3 Week” PSN promotional event we heard about just yesterday from Infinity Ward. D3Publisher bringing select PSP titles to PlayStation Store
Here’s a nice update for those folks who are used to downloading games and want some quality games to add to their collection. D3Publisher is apparently releasing a slew of PSP games onto the PlayStation Store for people to purchase, and they look to be potentially cheaper as a downloadable title.
Here’s the list of games that are coming out, along with the release date and price for each title:
